  For being my first time watch through of this blockbuster classic I was unsure what to expect. This film takes place in a small resort town that gets a lot of revenue with the tourists wanting to go to the beach. However, there have been deadly shark attacks! Instead of shutting down the beach for public safety, those in charge tried their best to keep the information unknown to continue generating money.  A scene that I really didn't understand was the ending, particularly the point of the cage scene. upon my first watch I assumed that Hooper was being sent to his death, especially when he dropped the only weapon to defend himself. But after looking into the background of the scene it began to make more sense.  It is important to remember that this was filmed before CGI, so some of the choices made were due to these limitations. Swiss Army Man

 Swiss Army Man was truly an experience to watch. The opening scene featuring our protagonist, Hank, attempting to end his life to which he spots Manny wash up on shore. In a moment of desperation that someone could help him he accidently knocks the bucket over and momentarily hangs himself before the rope luckily breaks. This film tackles things such as what is normal vs. acceptable in our society by having Manny question everything, similar to that of a toddler. We follow as they try to escape the wilderness and learn more about Hank's life before he ended up stranded. There we learn about the trauma he may have with his family and his regrets of never feeling confident enough to shoot his shot with the girl on the bus. A scene that I really thought was powerful was where Hank and Manny were crossing the metal pipes. This part specifically I felt Manny began to express Hank's internal thoughts and feelings.
